Indian War Memorial

On the 10th of July each year, the Indian Soldiers who fought in WWI are remembered at a memorial event in Barton. The Friends wished to honour all the men who passed through New Milton station on their way to convalesce in Barton before returning the front. The Indian flower of remembrance is the marigold so along with planting up as many marigolds as we could fit in, the volunteers created memorial wreaths in marigold colours to decorate the station.
