The New Milton Residents Association held a volunteering event at New Milton Memorial Centre on the evening of 18th July 2024. As soon as the doors opened, our stand became very busy. We launched our new organisation and mission to promote the station’s history and how it has become the gateway to all that the surrounding town has become.
Project leader Mandy Hayes said, “The enthusiasm and ideas for the project are fantastic. It seems that our station is much loved, and people want it to be a special place for our community and town.”
“Thank you also to those who came along to help us celebrate. We were certainly kept busy!”
The team is collating all your great ideas and creating an action plan. Hopefully, there will be something our members and supporters would like to get involved in or watch!”
The team will be at the Lions Club of New Milton ‘Town Show’ to be held on Sunday 25th August 2024. Look out for our stand and come and have a chat about what we’re doing.
