Local author Nigel Kendall’s exhibition of photography charting the transition of the railway from steam to electric at New Milton Station is now on display in the waiting room.
From 1961 to 1967 Nigel spent many hours photographing the last days of these magnificent machines. Just a few of his many photographs and details of his life are recorded in the exhibition and more can be found in his book ‘New Milton’s Railway, the Journey from Steam to Electric‘ available from Amazon.
The exhibition closes on 30th November.
