At the South Western Railway Community Rail Awards on 16th October we were delighted to be awarded WINNER in the Best Community Engagement Category for all our work in our first year, Highly Commended in the Outstanding Volunteer Contribution for the whole of our Crew and Highly Commended in Best Community Creative Award for our fabulous station mural.
Then, a few days later we were awarded CATEGORY WINNER GOLD AWARD in South & South East in Bloom Celebration Stations! Derek Beer the judge said, “Please pass on my congratulations, you have accomplished so much in such a small time. My judging was about supporting and encouraging rather than settling one above another, but the fact that you are the most worthy station group over all the roughly 90 that I visited speaks volumes about your dedication and commitment.”
The FNMS would like to say a huge thank you to all the members of our community who have helped us achieve these awards. A very proud moment for our team and the whole town!
